Sixtyfive species of fishes were caught during day and night fishing using survey nets in the Bay of Cartagena, Colombia S.A. Out of the total number of species 62 were caught in relatively unpolluted areas under influence of various types of industrial waste waters. Catch per unit effort shows that the unpolluted areas holds 1.6 times as many species as the polluted areas. Three species repesent new records from the area.
